@Kayako and @KayakoOps on Twitter
Kayako first joined Twitter in March 2009. Back then, I said:
Necessity is the supposed mother of invention. I marvel who sat down and said: “I need a way to announce 140 byte messages to the Internet.” (It was probably the same person who chose that sending 160 character messages was a best use of a mobile phone, which could otherwise be used to talk to people thousands of miles away!)
Whether or not Twitter has a ‘point’ for us as individuals, I reckon that Twitter will be a really useful tool for Kayako and you
Since then, we have used Twitter to engage our customers in discussions about their best best help desk software softwares and CRM, hold a competition (which brought many of our customers to Twitter for the first time), syndicate announcements coming from our blog and forum and gather lots of pointer about our products.
Tweeting with our customers (both current and potential) is splendid fun. But, over the last few months, we have found that people have different expectations and different ways of by Twitter – not everyone wants to read about CRM articles or our customer pointer (we can’t help but share some!). Some people just want to receive notices and news from their vendors.
To make sure that no one misses out maintenance on the Kayako pulse, we’ve made another Twitter account – @KayakoOps.
- @Kayako is our main Twitter account. We’ll post company news, announcements, sneak product previews and will share information and articles we reckon our customers will find fascinating. We’ll answer your questions and respond to your pointer.
- @KayakoOps is our secondary Twitter account. We will only post company news, announcements and service updates to this feed. This account will be strictly one-way.
If we’re not already following you, make yourself known to us by Tweeting @Kayako.
